Collegiate Advisory Board
At Carolina Collegiate High School, we prioritize preparing students to excel in the next phase of their lives. Part of this is through ensuring that every student leaves our doors with the necessary skills and knowledge to thrive in college. But colleges, and the world, are changing. What worked for students 10 years ago is insufficient for students today. To address this issue, we created the Collegiate Advisory Board, a team of current college students, many of whom are graduates of Research Triangle High School. The team contributes their perspectives and knowledge to help us understand:

Anna Holmes Blair
Director, Collegiate Advisory Board
Anna is a senior at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from Hamlet, North Carolina. She is majoring in Public Policy and Human and Organizational Leadership Development, and minoring in Data Science. Her research and career interests are in K-12 education policy. In her free time, Anna enjoys napping with her cat, Oscar, completing puzzles, and watching Carolina basketball.

I'm Aryan Parikh, an Applied Math and Economics student at NC State. I enjoy studying the intersection of technology and finance while giving back to my community through mentoring, tutoring, and collaboration. In my free time you can find me running, playing basketball, watching football, and spending time with friends.

Lucky Balaji
Hi I am Lucky, I'm from Cary, North Carolina, and currently attend East Carolina University as a Brinkley-Lane Scholar and a member of the Honors College. I'm majoring in Public Health on the pre-med track. I'm passionate about advancing equity in healthcare and ensuring that everyone has access to quality, compassionate care. Through my studies and experiences, I hope to combine scientific understanding with community-driven solutions to make healthcare more inclusive and effective for all.

Emily Pabalate
Emily is a first-year student at Duke University from Raleigh, North Carolina, majoring in Neuroscience with minors in Medical Sociology and Chemistry on the pre-medical track. She is passionate about health equity and exploring how science and society connect in patient care. Outside of academics, Emily enjoys playing and watching basketball, making jewelry and crafts, and spending quality time with her friends and family

Gus McKay
I'm Gus McKay, a Freshman at NC State University studying Sport Management and working with the NC State football team as a Scouting and Player Personnel Student Assistant. As a recent graduate of Research Triangle High School, I was deeply involved in leadership and community service, founding an Ultimate Frisbee club, serving as President of NEHS, and sitting on the Student Council and PTSO. I'm eager to use my experience to create new opportunities for students as a member of the Collegiate College Advisory Board.
